T. Portafaix (U. de la Réunion) and S. Godin-Beekmann (LATMOS-IPSL) – Stratospheric ozone DIAL system began making measurements at Maido in February 2013. Prior to this, measurements had been taken since 2000 in St. Denis, Reunion Island.
V. Duflot (U. de la Réunion)– Tropospheric ozone DIAL system began making measurements in February 2013 in preparation for NDACC certification. Ozone profiles are routinely obtained from 6-19 km. Participated in Maido Lidar Calibration Campaigns in April 2013 and November 2013 and in the Maido Observatory Gas and Aerosols NDACC Experiment in May 2015. Instrument certified for NDACC affiliation February 2017.
Ph. Keckhut (LATMOS-IPSL) and V. Duflot (U. de la Réunion) – Raman lidar system began measurement testing in February 2013, with valid measurements obtained since October 2013. Optimal range of the measurements is 2.2 – 22 km. Participated in Maido Lidar Calibration Campaigns in April 2013 and November 2013 and in the Maido Observatory Gas and Aerosols NDACC Experiment in May 2015. Instrument certified for NDACC affiliation February 2017.
T. J. McGee (GSFC), L. Twigg (SSAI), and G. Sumnicht (SSAI) – The STROZ lidar retrieves ozone vertical profiles in the stratosphere from 10 to 50 km. Temperature to ~80 km and aerosols (at 355 nm) to 35 km also are measured. The instrument has also been modified to measure water vapor from near the ground to ~15 km. As a mobile intercomparator, it participated in ozone intercomparisons in May 2015.
N. Kämpfer (U. Bern) – Horizontal wind profiles (~35 – 70 km) obtained with a wind radiometer on a daily basis from August 2013 to February 2015 and from December 2016 – May 2018.
